中秋前, 做月餅, 好像已經有六年了. 成了我們的傳統聚舊活動 :)
今年所有的小月餅都用全黃......一輪名月掛中天.
很不同的是, 日本喜歡叫"名月"多於"明月". 八月十五的月亮叫"芋名月", 而日本人傳統上更喜歡在陰曆九月十三賞月, 天氣更晴朗清涼, "十三夜"(ju san ya)的月亮, 叫"栗名月". 可惜日本是沒有傳統的月餅的, 和果子店賣的賞月果子好美麗可惜不太好吃.
眾多品種的月餅中, 廣東月餅的確是有文化. 廣東的中秋月亮, 應該叫"蓮名月"或者"蛋名月"吧 :)

這些年來, 都試了不少品牌的月餅, 很多都名不符實, 或者不對口味........最後只喜歡奇華雙黃蓮蓉.
今年見有大同老餅家的月餅, 勁貴呀, 好, 買一個試試有什麼巴閉(了不起)....
wow, 好吃呀, 蓮蓉從未吃過那麼幼滑, 又有蓮子香
蛋黃滲油滲得剛剛好, 不會像某些月餅, 一是乾硬化, 一是流油......
真的貴得值.
第一名! 有無得食?

大同老餅家, I passed by it today... didn't know they were famous tim! But I don't eat/like mooncakes anyways, so I guess it wouldn't have made a difference... wouldn't have bought any! I took a class today and made Bunny Mooncakes... some fusion/modern style Taiwanese "mooncake"... not very impressed... just cute to look at la... I'll be making traditional type mooncake next week, taking another class... hope it'll be good la!
回覆刪除[版主回覆09/04/2011 22:20:00]May be Cantonese mooncakes are the memories of childhood. I'd tried many kinds of mooncake, 潮州, 寧波......but eventually I like cantonese the most. A mid-autumn fest is not a mid-autumn fest without cantonese mooncake.....I thought.
Tai Tung 's 雙黃蓮蓉 is the most gorgious, but don't buy their 椰蓉月, dry and dry and dry, it's disaster!
Actually, my family never used to celebrate... I guess because we lived in Canada. I bought some mooncakes from a vegetarian restaurant in Kowloon city for my relatives, don't know if it's good or not though.

Oh, normal cantonses mooncakes are vegetarian themselves(of cource except the salted egg yolk). If I eat , I should eat the best instead of the healthiest :p.
嘩, 您做的月餅& 豬仔餅都勁靚呀. 花紋和字都好出, 金黃色. 等我回到香港都要動手做. 如果能做到您一半那麼靚, 我會好開心.

除咗冇咁甜同蓮蓉比較滑之外我食唔出特別之處,
但價錢好貴每個成百幾蚊,咁貴我一定唔會買!

我星期日去元朗大同幫朋友買兩個伍仁金腿月,盛惠156元,還要排長龍添.

係啦, 年青時完全沒有留意這間餅家, 可能後生根本不吃老餅, 到自己也是老餅, 便開始欣賞老餅家了.
不知是否年紀大了, 轉了口味, 喜歡吃鹹的五仁啦, 下年會整嗎?

如月,看見你的月餅色澤好靚,想問下月餅掃面蛋汁是否用全蛋??要加小許水嗎??不知為何將蛋汁掃在月餅面時,蛋汁立即積存在花紋內,當時掃又掃不走,最終有些還焗燶了!!可否提點下???
